People sometimes ask me “Steve, why are you so hard on the world?”
And I say to those people “listen, if you can look at something such as
this
as a cutting edge breakthrough for the medical profession then go right ahead, but I prefer to look at it as the utter pile of ignorant bullshit that it is.”
Ok, so I didn’t start answering people that way until right now, but you see where I’m going here.
Listening to these hospital officials talk up this crazy new concept called admitting when you’re wrong and doing your best to make things right makes me sick to my stomach, and it should do the same to each and every one of you. I’m glad they’re doing it, but presenting an idea as simple as taking responsibility for your actions as something groundbreaking is utterly disgusting and completely against what it means to be a decent human being. Rather than being proud of having figured out what many of us have known since the dawn of time, these people should be ashamed that doing the honourable thing has been such a culture shock.
