Jose Rivera survived two tours of duty in Iraq, only to be stabbed to death by two inmates. He had no weapons and was guarding 100 prisoners. Oh, but he had a radio to call for backup. Isn’t that great?
How does sending guards into prisons completely unarmed while prisoners are armed with homemade weapons make any sense? I’m surprised we don’t hear about more deaths.
