Apparently, someone with a sense of humour did some research and found that CPR chest compressions are done at near perfect rhythm if done to the beat of “Stayin’ Alive” by The Bee Gees.” The number of beats per minute matches the number of compressions per minute for optimal success.
At first, I thought the song was too slow, but now that I’ve listened to it again, I think I agree.
So, if you have to save someone’s life with CPR, what better song to use to keep your timing?
