A muslim woman driving a go-cart was strangled by her own burkha when part of it got caught in the wheels. This got me to thinking. The go-cart place is kind of caught between a rock and a hard place. To protect the safety of riders, they would have to mention that you shouldn’t ride in a go-cart while wearing a long, flowing garment like a burkha, but then they could get sued for religious discrimination by muslim women who want to ride. Sikhs have sued over wearing hard hats and motorcycle helmets. Hopefully we don’t have to find out what the poor go-cart track owners would have to do. Hopefully they’d just be covered by saying “ride at your own risk,” but ya never know if that’s good enough anymore.
