When your girlfriend refuses to buy you beer, there are several things you can do. Calling it a night comes immediately to mind, as does asking a buddy instead. And now, thanks to Stephen Edward Siebold, I have an option I hadn’t considered.Bite her hand, hit her on the head with a skateboard and engage in a little attempted strangulation. You know, because nothing says next round’s on you like serving up a pint of irrational physical violence.
Boulder police Sgt. Kristi Peterson said the incident happened around 7 p.m. Wednesday in the 1200 block of Elder Avenue. According to a police report, the man was at home with his 21-year-old girlfriend and attacked her after she refused to buy him beer. Police said they think he was under the influence of narcotics.
By the time police arrived on the scene, Siebold had left, the report said.
If the narcotics were that good, what’d he need beer for? You can’t have everything.
He was arrested without incident later that evening on suspicion of second-degree assault, attempted sexual assault, obstruction of telephone service and domestic violence.
So no beer anytime soon I suspect, even though he’ll probably be spending a decent bit of time in the cooler.
