People have been searching for news about Paul Lopez resigning from GDB. They were not wrong. Since I don’t have a lot in the way of brains left after a long day, here’s the quick and dirty version. Lopez has stepped down, and for the time being, Bob Burke is serving as interim president and CEO while they look for a new one, and George Kerscher, a graduate, is stepping up to be board chair.
Let’s hope this is the beginning of better times. Now we can only wait, hope, and give our opinions when we feel they’re needed.
Wow! That whole Lopez resigning thing happened fast!
It’s good to know GDB listens to grads. There was no way they could ignore how unhappy everyone was. This sounds like such good news. I wonder if they’ll put the service reps back.
If they do, I wonder how many of the ones that were let go would want to come back. I think I’d be a bit hesitant in case I got burned again. At worst I hope they do restore the levels even if they have to train new people to fill the positions. I don’t know how they expect the staff that are left to cover those giant service areas. The field reps seemed like they were run off their asses as it was, and now there are less of them.
