I was distracted during the holidays and didn’t mention this, but Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister, who a few months ago switched from drinking Jack and Coke to vodka and orange juice for the sake of his health which is one of my favourite rock stories in a long time, died of cancer at 70. He only knew he had it for a few days, apparently.
It wouldn’t be me if I didn’t mention the wrestling connection. Motörhead recorded a few pieces of theme music for Triple H through the years, most notably this one which came to symbolize for a lot of fans that some poor bastard who could really use the win was about to get totally squashed and buried.
For a lot of us it was basically Cena wins lol before there was a Cena wins lol, but you can’t deny it was a pretty great goddamn entrance theme. But of course it was, because Lemmy.
