Worse than that: Being killed in a drive-by shooting that you’re helping to carry out by a guy in your own car.
Gibson was driving about 5:40 a.m. in the first block of West 71st Street when he pulled alongside a white SUV waiting to make a left turn, prosecutors said.
Lee, seated in the front passenger seat, began firing at the SUV with a .40-caliber handgun and accidentally shot Gibson in the head, prosecutors said. Even with the gunshot wound, Gibson was able to drive more than two miles to the 6700 block of South Marshfield. A 22-year-old man was also wounded in the shooting.
Is it that common for a passenger to accidentally shoot the driver? And wound another dude in the car? Like was he even freaking aiming? And how noble for a gangster to have agreed to donate his organs. Or are there states where the attitude is “you’re scum, but you’re braindead scum, so zoink!”?
I wondered about the organs too. I assume his family made that call, but I read two or three different versions of this thing and none of them said.
And I think the other dude that got hit was in the SUV he was aiming for. I imagine that were he in the car with these other two goobers they’d have named him.
