So here I am, enjoying a late afternoon beer when this pops up in my RSS reader. Chugging Is Dumb
I’m not gonna lie. The ability to chug a beer impresses me somewhat for one simple reason. I can’t do it. But just because you can do it doesn’t mean you should. It really is pretty stupid, especially when done by dudes who do it for the perceived validation that comes with showing off by doing it over and over again. It’s a good party trick now and then, but the more you do it, the less cool you become. It turns you into a dumber, more obnoxious and slobbery version of the tool you probably were before you started, which is not what you should ever be going for.
On the subject of beer, I highly recommend Alpine Lager. Somehow I’d never tried it or even heard of it until a few weeks ago, and now I feel like I need to make up for lost time. It’s smooth and pleasant to drink, and the price is good. It’s only about a dollar more than what they charge for some of the “discount beers” in Ontario these days, and it tastes a couple dollars better than that. It’s brewed by Moosehead, who’s main Moosehead Lager is in my top 5 favourite beers. So if you trust either me or them, you know the quality is there. Give it a try now, thank me later.
