I’m not sure I can give these kids a not funny tag since on some level what they did is kind of amusing and they didn’t set out to hurt anybody, but they’re still kinda dumb and things did have the potential to go pretty wrong.
Aaron D. Coutumas and his twin brother Steven both 18, and 2 unidentified 17-year-old friends wanted to have a few laughs and maybe grab a bit of YouTube fame in the process. So theycovered one of the 17-year-olds in plastic wrap and dropped him off in a Kmart parking lot.The others left the area, leaving the wrapped up kid to walk around for a few minutes. They then returned, threw him into the trunk of their car and drove off.
Like I said, sort of funny in a way.
Unfortunately for them, not everybody thought so, including the woman who called 911 to report that she had just witnessed 3 people tie up another man, throw him into a car and speed off. Also falling squarely in the not funny camp were the occupants of the 7 police cruisers which shortly thereafter surrounded the vehicle and then ordered the teens out of it, guns drawn.
Luckily for them, police heard a voice from the trunk yelling that it was all a joke before things had a chance to get much more serious.
Unluckily for them however, all 4 are now facing charges of disorderly conduct.
Disorderly conduct isn’t so bad, you’re surely thinking to yourself. Sometimes you have to suffer for your art and take one on the chin for the greater good. That’s all well and fine if there’s art to suffer for, but here’s the problem.
He said they would have liked to post something on YouTube, but everyone wanted to be involved and no one would hold the camera.
“If not YouTube, maybe Facebook,” he said. “We thought it would be funny.”
Excuse me a moment while I take a quick break to punch myself in the head.
You’re telling me that the whole point of doing this was so that you could post a video somewhere but nobody wanted to film it, but instead of drawing straws or finding a 5th kid you decided to hell with it, let’s do it anyway? I guess if nothing else these guys are over-qualified for the stupid people who are famous for no good reason category so maybe it’s not a total loss other than to the collective IQ of the world, but gees, what fools.

Secondly, if there was no thought of posting a video, where did that whole piece come from? I'm not asking to be an ass, I'm legit curious.
