TSA Enhanced Pat Downs : The Screeners Point Of View

Nothing in this article should come as any sort of revelation to anybody. Surprise surprise, the overly friendly agent is about as thrilled to be touching your pecker as you are to have him touching it. But still, it’s important to hear their point of view and for people to realize that at the end of the day, these people are human beings who are just doing a job. It’s a horrible job that nobody should be asked to do, but it’s a job.

That said, a lot of things are jobs, and since there’s all this talk lately about passengers opting out of participating in all of this security theatre, why don’t the agents do the same thing? I understand that the job market sucks, but you know what? Places like Burger King are always hiring. You’d still have to handle meat and buns on a daily basis, but at least they wouldn’t be attached to some fat, sweaty cow who’s going to hurl insults at you. There have to be better ways to earn a living than being demoralized by your government and your less than willing customers. To me showing up to do this every day just doesn’t seem worth the pay. It’s not like anybody’s making a million dollars doing this, at least not the people who have to do the real dirty work.

I’d love to see this protest happen. The public needs to stop flying, but more importantly, the TSOs need to band together and stop going along with this sham. You folks have it way worse than we do. We only have to go through it now and then, while your daily lives are an unending parade of scrote and boobage. If anybody should be mad as hell and unwilling to take it anymore, it should be all of you. Don’t let the next TSA outrage story be about you. Serve your country in a meaningful way by doing pretty much anything else short of going into marketing or anything involving Wall Street.
